Cutting out triangles and combining them with tape, I discovered a unique form that can expand and transform into different shapes. My challenge then is to replace the blue tape with a new type of aluminum hinges that are clean and seamless.

This a close up of my final hinge. I stick with this hinge because it is the most seamless. 

Each triangular/trapezoid section has two layers of aluminum sheets, and the two aluminum sheets sandwich a copper wire that connects the triangular/trapezoid sections. Tiny copper rivets are used to hold the two aluminum sheets layers.
